Dabblers vs. Masters: Why Relentless Daily Focus Changes Everything

I spent the morning on the beach and found myself contemplating my life and the various moments that I had found to be at my “full” power. From a philosophical standpoint, one could say that this would be the case at all times, but I also found moments in my life that I felt I was at my best, my healthiest, my strongest, my luckiest and my most aligned. These synchronous periods in my life seemed to occur when I was training, practicing, and focusing on a daily basis. For me, it is the only way.

Whatever it is that you do and wish to do well, remember guideline #2: Train Daily (Do It Every Day).

This principle separates the dabblers from the masters. Whether you’re an artist, athlete, parent, or just working in the office, it’s this daily devotion that fuels the engine of mastery. The magic is in the subtle movement towards momentum. As you show up each day, something inside you shifts. Your energy awakens, opportunities begin to present themselves, and luck starts to bend your way. It’s not necessarily logical or even rational. Somehow, the Universe meets you halfway because you’ve met yourself each and every day.

One of the most effective ways to live this principle is to do sunrise yoga with me on the beach. It creates a foundation of devotion that will ripple out throughout all other areas of your life. As your mind calms and your body feels grounded, space is made for everything to naturally unfold. Vitality returns, strength increases, and you feel amazing.

If you’re ready to take this deeper and transform your life, come play with me. We meet Friday and Sunday mornings for Sunrise Yoga on the beach in East Boca from 6:45 to 7:30 AM at the South Beach Park Pavilion. If you would like to join, sign up via Eventbrite or Meetup.
